Archive for March, 2010

Sunday afternoon I drove over to Casino for the first Autumn Special shoot. Cian contacted me almost as soon as I released the details on the special saying she wanted to book a session for her niece & nephew as a surprise for her sister. Of course I was more than happy to oblige. This shoot was all about the bond between Jackson & Sienna and how close they are even though they don’t live together.

Check out those lips! Angelina Jolie’s got nothing on this little cutie-patootie.

Sienna was in awe of everything around her and she wasn’t too sure what the whole grass thing was about.

It took us awhile to get Sienna to show us her gorgeous smile (I’m such a sucker for dimples) but with some coaxing and lots of crazy faces and noises in large part from Jackson we got there.

I reckon Sienna’s got herself one pretty cool big brother. I can’t think of too many 16 year olds who would let me take photos of them being crazy with their baby sister. Hope you all enjoy the sneak peek :-)

We are halfway through March & summer has officially been over for 19 days :-(

I’ve been holding off on this post just because I didn’t want to admit it to myself but with the ending of my favourite season comes the start of the most colourful and interesting season, autumn, and you can’t be disappointed with that. Lots of storms and much needed rain (which makes for awesome backdrops in photos) but in between all that we get some gorgeous colours in the changing foliage and a whole different type of light streaming through.

So I’ve been a little quiet since Christmas cooking up some new things (more to be revealed in the coming months) but I couldn’t just ignore this change in seasons and thought I should help you make the most of these remaining warm days and beautiful surroundings we have on the North Coast and offer a little **Autumn Special**.

What’s on offer?

Last year the Christmas Mini Shoots were a HUGE success and with only FOUR spots available they filled up within a couple of hours. Now I LOVED doing the Chrissy Mini Shoots but I didn’t want to do the same thing again and I really wanted to offer full length shoots. So here’s the offer -

*$60 for a FULL length shoot (2-3hrs normally $120)

AND

*A $60 print credit to kick start your order

The $60 shoot fee must be paid upfront to secure your date and the shoot has to be booked for any time in Autumn. Now this one is for Facebook Fans only so if you’re not a fan already head over HERE and become one!

There are only 7 spots available so be quick! You can book your session now by emailing me sam@samibphotographer.com.au.

A Child’s Laugh

March 12, 2010

Oh what a scrumptious sound! It’s infectious and utterly uplifting. Doesn’t it just transport you back to when you were a little tyke and you didn’t have a care in the world! So if you’re having a bad day or even if you’re having a good one I hope you have the chance to hear a child laugh today. And if not here’s a little series that might just do the trick anyway.

I can’t even remember what Madi was laughing at but it must have been good coz she was fairly chuckling! I don’t know about you but when I look at this series my mouth takes over and I cant help but :-)

Abby Hope

March 2, 2010

This gorgeous girl is my brand new niece, Abby Hope. Just 1 week old!

I couldn’t go and shoot Abby though without getting a couple shots of her brother & sister.

Lochlan -

Ellie -

She’s so little that the smallest nappies don’t even fit her properly!

Nan and her grandkids. Lochie is quite the doting big brother. (I promise I made the bed again when  I was finished!)

For the short time she had her eyes open I was able to capture this one. I think she’s definitely going to have blue eyes like her brother.

I just love this one!

Too cute!
