A Little Experiment

February 27, 2010

I’m not sure why but of late I’ve been a little obsessed with creating a wall of frames. I have no idea where it came from but I’ve been attempting it for awhile! This is a work in progress but I was a little stoked with my first attempt. What do you guys think?

The wall is a digital paper and the floor is a texture but the frames I created from SCRATCH! Leave a comment – love it? Hate it? Wondering what on earth possessed me to even think of this?

Going to the Chapel…

February 13, 2010

Tuesday this week meant perfect beach weather and an engagment shoot with Shelley & Luke. The shoot almost didn’t happen but Luke managed to get back from work with plenty of daylight still available! It was a gorgeous afternoon at North Wall and we got some absolute gems -

Picked on Luke for a little while -

Then it was Shelley’s turn. I tried a little trick on her that I use on my younger clients – yes it’s been awhile since I’ve shot adults but it worked just as well :-)

It was great meeting you both -  looking forward to the big day!

Being an Aunty has to be one of the best things you can be – you get to spoil your nieces and nephews, treat them to whatever they like, let them get away with things Mum & Dad never would and on top of all that you get to hand them back! Pretty sweet deal I reckon :-)

This past weekend I was up in Brisbane with the family and my sister asked if I’d bath Maddie & Lochie. Sure, no problem! I’m not entirely sure this is what she meant though -

My cousin was there as well with her little man, Keegan – he wasn’t quite sure about his bath to start with -

But he ended up loving it!

A Cold Change

February 3, 2010

Slight change in weather lately. It’s COLD & RAINING!! Not exactly what I’ve become accustomed to after a hot, sunny and BEAUTIFUL summer! But my partner’s happy because with the cold and the rain came wind. Wind = surf. I know, doesn’t make much sense to me either why anyone would want to go into the ocean when it’s windy, cold & raining. In an effort to understand this craziness a little more I tagged along with him the other day when he went surfing at The Pass in Byron Bay.

I have no idea what this guy is doing but it looks pretty cool!

These guys are nuts! This is at about 6:30pm and I’m thinking yep they’re going to come in soon surely but no they stayed out there and new surfers kept showing up to try their luck.

T

The party wave – and my attempt at a Polaroid. Note to self next time make the border more grey then white or put a shadow behind it.

Mmmmhmmmm this one’s better – you can actually see the border!

And the award for the best seat in the house goes to this guy -

All and all I had a pretty great time! It was surprisingly fun! Although Andrew was a little disappointed when we got home and there wasn’t any photos of him on his “stomper of a wave”. SORRY – next time wear something other than black!
